Silvestre Guzmán brings over a decade of experience in higher education. Beginning his journey as the Director of the Office of Multicultural Center at the University of Maine, Silvestre demonstrated a deep commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion within academia. His passion for supporting students from all backgrounds led him to transition into roles as an academic advisor and later as the Senior Associate Director of Admissions for Diversity and Access at the same institution. Throughout his career, Silvestre has dedicated himself to empowering students and families by guiding them through the admissions process and ensuring equitable access to educational opportunities for all.

Wanda E. Suriel (she/her/ella) is the Director of Admission at Wheaton College, Massachusetts since 2020. With over 25 years in higher education, she kickstarted her journey as a student admission ambassador in the Hispanic College Awareness Program at her alma mater, guiding 8th grade Latinx students towards higher education. Wanda's impactful career includes being the incoming Vice-President Elect (2024-2025) for NEACAC. She's a noted speaker on topics like diversity, leadership, and admissions, actively participating in NECBAC and NACAC. Wanda chaired NEACAC's 2010 Annual Meeting and Conference, received the William S. Neal Award in 2009, and is an alumna of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute and Connexion - Advancing Latino Leadership. Her passion for education and providing opportunities for students to achieve their educational goals and aspirations has been the driven force throughout her professional career.
